I am still in pain ;lower back pain, after a car rear ended us. What is my claim worth?
I was rear ended in April of this year, I was the passanger. I did not go to the hospital after the accident but about 20 minutes later, I was nauseous, had a headache, and was experiencing lower back pain. Two days later;because this happened on a weekend, after hiring an attorney and going to the chiropractor, I was sent to get an MRI, they found a 4mm buldge in between my lower disc.
After going go the chiropractor for several months, I was sent to an orthopedic because I was still in a lot of pain. At work, my whole back would tighten up and pain would shoot from my back, down my butt, down to my legs; making it painful for me to work. There would be days where I would lye in bed literally tearing up because of the pain. I could not clean, wash, take my toddler a bath without experiencing pain and having to go rest. Not to mention, I was continuously getting headaches for several weeks. The pain was unbearable.
I was sent to an orthopedic a couple months later and after an XRay of my spine, they didn't see anything wrong but the Dr did mention that the MRI did show a herniated disc, therefore he prescribed me some pain medication to alleviate the pain and reduce the swelling. I still have pain. I don't think my lawyer or his assistant shall I say is too concerned because she wants to settle for $7,000; which only covers the medical bills. What do I do? Can you offer me any advice. Thank you.
