Hard Personal Injury, Ruptured and Torn Ankle Ligaments, and Developed into a Bone Disease

by D Morris

I suffered my personal injuries when I fell at work on ice. This left me with ruptured and torn ankle ligaments. Over the last year and half my foot injury has gotten worse and developed a bone disease called Osteochondritis dissicans talus.

They can try to do different surgeries but ultimately, in approximately 10 years I will need a ankle replacement or fusion!

My question is how much should I sue this billion dollar company, that would be reasonable to them and myself. My whole life has changed and I can no longer continue in my career which I have built for 8 years. I'm 27 years old and I can't wear heels again! I'm devastated and I want them to pay!!!

Don't Settle For Low Amounts
by: Anonymous

I've just read that an insurance company disrespected someone with a $2500.00 settlement offer but it went to court and the verdict was for $111,000 and this is what I call justice so be encouraged.

Another case received a verdict for $60,000 and this was for a soft tissue injury. You have a hard injury which pays more so make sure you get what you deserve.

Personal Injury Advice
by: mat

Hey D.Morris,
First of all I want to say that I am really sorry for your personal injuries. I can't imagine how much pain you must feel.

I am not a personal injury lawyer so please do not take this as legal advice. Here is what I would suggest:

Your life has forever changed. You have suffered a serious and permanent injury. These type of personal injuries receive the highest settlements because the amount of physical pain and suffering is extremely high. These types of injuries also tend to have high medical costs and treatment expenses. All of this means you would receive a significantly high settlement

So how much is your particular injury case worth? Unfortunately, in order to determine that would require knowing more details. For example, what were your medical costs, how long were your injuries treated, was the company negligent etc.

As I said I am not a personal injury lawyer so I would not be the best qualified to give you an accurate answer. I would though suggest you use the free injury claim form to speak with a personal injury attorney directly. As I explain on the page, the consultation is 100% Free, so you don't have to pay anything to get some expert advice. You can get more direct feedback on how you should proceed and the amount of settlement similar injury cases have received. I think that is the best course of action for the types of injuries you have described. So please use the free consultation.

I am really sorry for your personal injuries and I hope you get the settlement you deserve. Please keep me posted about your progress. Best of luck.
