Back Injury Personal Injury Settlement Amount

A little over year ago I got into a car accident and suffered a back injury. I was driving in New York City and a truck hit me from the back while i was at a stop sign.

It took me almost a year to get my final personal injury settlement amount of $10,000. But the lawyers took 40% of it so I was left with only $6,000. I don't think my final settlement amount was that much considering my injury but I was glad it was finally over. I was so tired of dealing with the lawyers and was really happy with anything I got.
